LBWCC Saints blast Faulkner State, 16-2

The LBW Community College Saints baseball team visited Bay Minette on Wednesday for a date with the Faulkner State Sun Chiefs and earned a 16-2 victory.

The Saints blasted the Sun Chiefs from the start and rolled to the lopsided win.

Austin Stein had a big game for the Saints. He was 3-for-4 at the plate with five RBIs. He also scored three runs in the win.

Josh Terrell also had a big game at the plate. The Saints' slugger was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and two RBIs. He hit a home run in the game.

Ryan Mitchell, an Andalusia High School graduate and freshman member of the Saints, did his part on offense in the win. Mitchell was 3-for-3 at the plate against the Sun Chiefs and scored four runs.

Chase Amis was 2-for-4 in the win with two runs scored and two RBIs.

David Williamson also went 2-for-4 at the dish for LBW. Williamson scored two runs and had one RBI.

Bryan "Smoke" Mosley and Jordan Mills each had one hit in the win and scored one run.

David Ezell had one hit and had one RBi in the victory. Jake Wells also had an RBI in the game.

The Saints return to the diamond on Saturday when they travel to Brewton for a doubleheader against the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks. The doubleheader is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The Saints' next home game is Tuesday when Alabama Southern visits Foshee Field for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
