Two Andalusia All-Star softball teams are still in the hunt for a sub-district title.

9- and 10-year-old

The Andalusia 9- and 10-year-old softball All-Stars remained perfect in tournament action with a 23-18 win against the host Opp All-Stars on Tuesday.

The win against Opp set up a rematch against the Greenville All-Stars at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The result of the game was not available at presstime. Andalusia topped Greenville in a first-round game by a final score of 8-5.

The winner of Wednesday night's game between Andalusia and Greenville advances to the tournament's championship game where they will face the winner of Wednesday night's game between Opp and Enterprise.

Andalusia was the only team without a loss going into Wednesday night's tournament games.

11- and 12-year-old

Kim Teel and Stephanie Bracewell combined to pitch a no-hitter against the Opp All-Stars in the 11- and 12-year-old sub-district tournament in Enterprise on Tuesday.

The Andalusia offense was also hot scoring 12 runs for a 12-0 win. The hit parade started in the first inning when Kayla Wells, Erin Byrd, MaryBeth Arrington, D'Amber Chambers and Bracewell each scored. Byrd and Bracewell also had RBI-hits in the inning.

Andalusia added to its 5-0 lead in the second inning with six more runs. Johnna Spann, Wells, Byrd, Katie Bass, Arrington and Bracewell each scored in the second inning. Wells, Bass and Kim Teel had RBI-hits in the inning.

Andalusia added one more run in the third inning for a 12-0 win. Byrd scored the final run of the game after reaching base on a fielder's choice. Danielle Maddox got an RBI in the inning.

13- to 15-year-old

A late rally by the Enterprise 13- to 15-year-old All-Stars erased Andalusia's 3-0 lead in sub-district softball action in the fifth inning. Enterprise added a run in the top of the seventh for a 4-3 win.

Andalusia went on top 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning when Hannah Bush, Jessica Armstrong and Courtney Duke each scored. Duke started the rally with a one-out base on balls. Bush reached base on a two-out single later in the inning. Armstrong belted a two-RBI double to score Duke and Bush. Caitlin Edmondson had a RBI-single to plate Armstrong in the inning.

The score remained 3-0 in Andalusia's favor until the top of the fifth inning when Julie Boyd, Astin Henderson and Amanda Spillers each scored on two walks and two errors.

The score remained knotted at 3-3 until the top of the seventh inning when Spillers scored the eventual game-winning run. She reached base on an error and came around to score to give the Enterprise Bolles a 4-3 lead.

The Andalusia players tried to put together a rally in the bottom of the seventh inning and appeared to score the tying run on a hard hit ball by Armstrong. The ball, however, was hit too hard and got to the right fielder in time for her to fire a strike to first base for a force out to end the game.
