Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated

The Andalusia High School Lady Bulldogs are undefeated after the first two basketball games of the season. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Monroe County 50-32 Tuesday night after going on top 24-14 in the first half.

Ann Huff was the leading scorer with 16 points. Ashley Johnson helped pace the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points. Jamisha McNeil added 7 points. Apri Kilgore had 6. Also scoring were Kathy Crittenden, Tanesha Wright and Breanna Cross.

Courtney Parker had 10 points for Monroe County.

The varsity boys' basketball team from Andalusia dropped another game Tuesday falling to Monroe County, 65-53.

Antonio Odom paced Monroe County with 19 points.

Josh Johnson had 17 for Andalusia. Michael Cauley added 15. Andre Wright, Brandon Wilson, Lance Evans and Chris Cotton also scored in the game.

The Andalusia B-team squad fell to Monroe County, 32-20.

Anthony Stovall paced Monroe County with 12 points.

William Alverson was the leading scorer for Andalusia with 6 points. Andrew McTyere added 5 points. Charlie Baker had 4. Also scoring for Andalusia were Alex Taylor, Kevin Huff and Cherno Bah.

The Andalusia High School basketball teams will be back in action Friday when the Pleasant Home Eagles fly into town. The B-team game is slated to tip off the evening of hoops at 4:30 p.m.

The Andalusia High School 9th-grade boys' basketball team plays today in Brewton against T.R. Miller. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The Andalusia Middle School squads host the Opp Bobcats today at 4 p.m.
