Two hurt in wreck Sunday night

Two adults were injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday night. The accident, which involved two pick-up trucks, took place on Highway 29 in front of the Bass Agency, at the intersection with Antioch Road.

According to Sgt. David Connor, forensic specialist with the Andalusia Police Department, there was one person in the white pick-up truck and four adults and one child in the blue

pick-up truck. Two of the adults in the blue truck were injured, one with a head wound and the other with a partial amputation of the ankle, said Connor. The child was not injured, according to Sgt. Connor. The injured were taken to Andauisa Regional Hospital.

The police department could not release the names yet and both vehicles were impounded, pending further investigation because of the seriousness of the accident.
