The Board of Education will conduct a work session on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Central Office Boardroom.

Feb. 19

Feb. 22

W.O. Parmer will hold kindergarten registration on Feb. 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. until noon. Those with last names A through M should register Feb. 22. Names N through Z should register Feb. 23. To register, parents need to bring a certified birth certificate (not a hospital issued one), a blue immunization record, the child's Social Security card, and two proofs of residence. The child must be present to enroll at pre-registration.

Feb. 23

The House of Prayer Holiness Church in Greenville will hold an anniversary celebration honoring Pastor Cecilia Adam's fifth year from Feb. 23 until Feb. 27.

Ongoing Announcements

The Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church will hold an Advanced Bible Study Institute every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Lee Albert Moorer Jr. will be the instructor.

The First Baptist Church of Georgiana is now taking names and contact numbers for those wishing to order additional copies of their new "Country Cookin'" cookbook, which is now on re-order. Copies are $10 each with the proceeds going to the church's building fund. Contact Gina Stephenson at 382-7528 to place your order.

Weight Watchers will start a new Community Workshop Program in Greenville on Tuesday, Feb. 22, beginning at 5 p.m.

Each session is for ten weeks, with subsequent 10-week rollover sessions.

Ian Blake Oswald, 19 months, will soon visit Arizona for a special MRI to determine if surgery can be performed to remove two tumors from his hypothalamus in the brain. He currently has about 100 seizures per day.
