Saturday night, it was business as usual at the Butler County Motorsports Park. The racing season is still in its infancy, only two weeks old. But, despite the newness of the season, the action is going full-force.

The Front-Wheel Hogg cars got the action started Saturday night with Brandy Thaggard claiming the heat victory. But, she was unable to continue her momentum into the feature race, finishing second behind Jonathan Weaver in the No. 82-car. Ryan Piggot in the No. 10 car rounded out the top three.

In the Pure Stock class, the group was divided into two heats. Bo Jordan driving the No. 2 car won the first head and then Wayne Cawley in the No. 83 car won the second. In the feature race though, it was neither of the heat winners taking home the checkered flag. Chase Free in the No. 8 car secured the victory with Ben Callen and Robert Johnson finishing second and third.

With two races down, there were still three left on the schedule.

The Street Stock group, like the Pure Stock had to have two heats to narrow the field. Will Henderson and his No. 18 car posted the victory in the first heat and then Gerald Brown in the No. 88 car sped to victory.

But, in the feature race, Henderson was able to cruise across the finish line for the victory and the checkered flag.

Jimmy Johnson and David Ward finished second and third respectively.

Charles Davis took home the victory in the only heat race for the Super Hobbie class, and then posted the win in the feature race. Curt Ryals and Randy Adams posted second and third place finishes respectively.

In the feature race of the night, the Late Models dueled it out. Scott Meyers in the No. 15 car posted the victory in the heat race. Jack Daughtery in the No. 6 car, however posted the victory in the feature race.

John Weaver and William Smith posted the second and third place finishes.

Racing will continue from this weekend through the Thanksgiving Holidays.

Gates open at 4 p.m., and the racing action will start at 7 p.m.
