Richardson, Butts hold August wedding

Rebecca Manning Richardson and Jason Wayne Butts were united in marriage on August 6, 2005 at the home of the bride's parents, Harry and Becky Manning of Chapman.

The sunset ceremony took place in the gazebo on the back lawn of the Manning home.

Doug Golden of the First Methodist Church of Georgiana officiated the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Harry Manning. Maid of honor was Tyler Manning, the bride's sister. Suanne Lewis of Greenville, the bride's sister, Ginger Manning of Greenville, sister of the bride and Melissa Anne Jones of Greenville, the bride's niece, served as bridesmaids. Madison Grace Langford of Greenville, the groom's niece, and Reese Anne Mount, the bride's niece, served as flower girls.

The groom is the son of Martha McBride of Montgomery and Wayne Butts of Greenville.

His father, Wayne Butts, served as best man. Groomsmen were Richard Miller of Greenville, Reuben Burkette of Greenville, Eric Morgan of Brantley, Corey McBride of Greenville, stepbrother of the groom and Earnie Lewis of Greenville, the bride's brother-in-law.

Tripp and Nate Richardson, the bride's sons, served as ring bearers.

A reception at the Manning home followed the ceremony with fabulous food prepared by the bride's mother, Becky Manning, along with wedding and groom's cakes prepared by Edwina Platt.

The ceremony was directed by Mrs. Platt with assistance from Carolyn Skipper and John Warren Godwin. Floral arrangements were created by Billy Matthews of Georgiana Flowers and Gifts.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Fort Dale-South Butler Academy. She attended both LBW Community College in Greenville and Auburn University. She is currently manager of Just Julie's Coffee Caf\u00E9.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Greenville Academy. He attended both LBW Community College in Greenville and Auburn University. He is presently employed by Southern Sand and Gravel.

Following a wedding trip to Orange Beach, the newlyweds are residing in Greenville.
