Whitfield, Hickman married in November

Sarah Elizabeth Whitfield of Mobile and Walton Ward Hickman of Greenville were united in marriage at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mobile on Nov. 12, 2005. Rev. William Bry Shields officiated and Rev. Joseph Winston Lisenby assisted.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Winston Whitfield of Mobile and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eugene Hines Sr. of Mobile, and Mr. and Mrs. Winston Calvin Whitfield and the late Evagene Whitfield of Corinth, Miss.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Alvin Hickman of Greenville and the grandson of Marilyn Melton Cook and Clyde Dickey Bozeman of Evergreen, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eual Victor Hickman of Greenville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Sarah Madeleine McPhillips and Amanda Marie Coleman as her maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Hendrich Barron, Ashley Davis Bender, Rebecca McLean Hickman, Lauren Beth Mason, Ann Marie Pierce, Bradley Clapper King, Tiffany Lauren Rush, Ginny McKewen Paul, Lauren Mills Powell and Elizabeth Ward.

The groom was attended by his father as best man. Groomsmen were William Lyle Bell, Peter Michael Drake, William Carey Johnson, William Bryan Lee, Eris Bryan Paul, William Hamilton Philpot III, Adam Lamar Powell, Lionel Edgar Rainey III, Joshua Andrew Stanley, William Christopher Waller and William Winston Whitfield Jr.

Flower girl was Ashlyn Kay Blankenship and ring bearers were George Ray Blankenship III and Walter Eugene Cash Hines IV.

The reception was at Stewartfield. The couple is now residing in Greenville.
