A &#8220refreshment for the soul” will be offered to area citizens with the arrival of &#8220Simple Grace” in Greenville on Saturday, January 7. The group is slated to perform at 7 p.m. at the Greenville Church of God, located at 405 S. Conecuh St.

Simple Grace is the full-time Christian ministry of the Jim Hitch family, which hails from the windy plains of rural Nebraska.

Jim, Kathy and their eight children offer a variety of Christian music, including selections from bluegrass, traditional, gospel, folk and original tunes.

The multi-talented family members perform on a number of different instruments, including guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, piano, percussion, harmonica and dobro guitar, with all ages, oldest to youngest, participating in the concert.

A touch of humor and plenty of inspiration, combined with soaring vocals, together offer a program that touches many hearts, no matter what their denominational background.

&#8220The family will be performing in Montgomery that week, but this will be their only appearance in our city and we are very excited to be hosting the event,” GCOG Pastor Felton Stewart said.

The Simple Grace ministry focuses on &#8220God's faithfulness as reflected in His families, and his amazing, unfathomable, simple grace.”

A free-will love offering will be accepted for Simple Grace that evening.

&#8220Come and join us at Greenville Church of God for a real blessing,” Felton said.
