The Social Security Office for Autauga, Bullock, Butler, Crenshaw, Lowndes, Montgomery and Pike Counties is located at 2450 Presidents Drive in Montgomery.

The office is open Monday through Friday (except national holidays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Most Social Security business can be conducted by telephone. This includes the filing of claims, changes of address, work and death notices, Medicare information, filing for supplemental security income and other social security information. The toll free number to call is 1-800-772-1213. The telephone number for the Montgomery office is 223-7183.

If you prefer to handle your business in person and cannot come to Montgomery, a representative from this office may be contacted in person at the following places on the day and at the time shown.

In Greenville: Beeland Park Community Center, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., every Wednesday.

In Luverne: Crenshaw County Courthouse, 9 a.m. to noon, every Wednesday.

In Troy: Pike County Courthouse, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., every Monday and Thursday.

In Union Springs: 108 Baskin Street, 9:30 a.m. to noon, every second and fourth Wednesday.

The office will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King’s Birthday, and Monday, Feb. 20, for President’s Day.
