Greenville dropped its seventh game in a row and lost another player to injury at least for a week during its 8-4 loss to Pleasant Home on Tuesday.

Greenville trailed Pleasant Home 5-4 heading into the fourth inning,

but the Tigers could not overcome seven errors on the day.

&#8220We are continuing to have problems in the infield and against Pleasant Home we had two fly balls just dropped,” Greenville coach Donna Sunnycalb said. &#8220We are desperate for a win right now.”

Tiger third baseman Kairee Newton will not play in today's round robin tournament at the Greenville Softball Complex, Sunnycalb said. Newton took a line drive in the knee and so the doctor has advised Newton to sit out until it's healed.

So now Sunnycalb has been playing with the defensive lineup.

Mikki Harris, who normally starts at first base, may see some playing time at third base.

&#8220Right now I'm looking at having just 10 players available for Saturday,” Sunnycalb said. &#8220I'm just looking for the right athlete to put in the right place.”

Harris accounted for almost half of Greenville's hits on the day against Pleasant Home. She finished the day 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

Brittany White added a double as well as Kendra Mitchell.

Greenville opens the round robin tournament at 9 a.m. today to face Highland Home.
