This weekend, the Greenville-Butler County Public Library takes you to the magical, mystical world created by C.S. Lewis in his beloved books, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia.'

May 20 will be Super Saturday with the theme of &#8220Once Upon A Time,” a preview of the upcoming Summer Reading theme.

&#8220We are very excited about this event and the chance to start learning about the wonderful world of Narnia,” GBCPL Children's Librarian &#8220Miss” Jean Bauer said.

An hour filled with storytelling, arts and crafts, music, refreshments and more are all on tap for the young attendees this weekend.

Three years through kindergarten meet in the children's room at 9:30 a.m. and first, second and third graders meet at 11 a.m.

The Summer Reading Program gets its official kickoff on Friday, June 23.

At 3 p.m. that day, the McWane Center of Birmingham will bring its &#8220The Magic of Narnia” to Greenville.

All children, ages three through rising fifth grade, are invited to attend.

&#8220We have a wonderful reading program set for this year. We invite local children to come and join us for Super Saturday and Summer Reading Program,” Miss Jean said.
