Officers seize 2K bag of crack, arrest one during Friday raid

Police officers executed a raid on a Greenville residence last Friday, arresting one man and charging him with multiple counts of drug possession

Police arrested Jesse Scott, 27, and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, 1st.

Members of the Greenville Police Department's Special Response Team served the warrant at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, according to Greenville police spokesperson Lt. Anthony Barganier.

A search yielded one hand rolled marijuana cigarette, one plastic bag containing marijuana, one bag containing crack cocaine and $46 in assorted U.S. currency.

According to police reports, the blunt marijuana cigarette was found on the console of a vehicle parked at the residence, while the bag of marijuana was found on Scott's person.

Officers discovered the plastic bag of crack cocaine in a gold automobile, also parked near the trailer.

The report states that Scott verbally stated the marijuana and blunt cigarette was his, and that he signed a written statement claiming ownership of the crack cocaine.

The plastic bag of crack has an estimated street value of $1,980.

Scott was transported to the Butler County Jail upon arrest.
