Manpower of Greenville has taken on a new look in a new location and is ready to offer locals &#8220unparalleled insight into the labor market,” Sherri Hardy, branch manager of the employment service's Greenville office said.

Hardy and her staff were on hand to meet and greet the public during Manpower's Wednesday Open House at their spacious new Commerce St. location inside the Sellers Building (formerly Greenville Ford).

Balloons, refreshments and door prizes for all visitors marked the new transition and &#8220re-energizing” of the company, Hardy said.

Manpower, which was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1948, is undergoing its first extensive re-branding process since its inception, and that means a lot more than just a new logo, Hardy said.

&#8220The refreshed brand respects our heritage as the thought leader and innovator in the staffing industry, while better reflecting the full range of employment services we offer today.”

Those services include permanent, temporary and contract recruitment; employee assessment and selection; training; outplacement; outsourcing and consulting. These are offered through five brands: Manpower, Manpower Professional, Elan, Jefferson Wells and Right Management. Manpower streamlined its brands from more than 200 worldwide down to only these five to represent its total service offering.

&#8220With our history, experience, and range of expertise, we understand what's now and what's next in the changing world of work, and use this knowledge to help our clients and candidates win.”

Employers are feeling the talent crunch when it comes to hiring for positions that require advanced skills and training, Hardy said.

&#8220Here in Greenville, we can work toward overcoming this challenge by re-skilling and re-training our workforce to bridge the gap between unfilled jobs and unemployed individuals.”
