Well, last week I missed on Crenshaw Christian for the first miss of the season. With this loss and the rest of their season, I don’t see the blue cats winning more than two more games. This week they travel to Grady to play the Raiders.

This is normally a big rival for the Cougars and will still be a big game.

But, I see the cats coming out on the short end of the stick, unless they can get all aspects of the game to working smoothly. I don’t see it this week.

The blue cats will drop to 1 and 3. CCA -6, SMCA-28.

The Brantley Bulldogs will make their first road trip of the season this week.

They will travel over to Jack, Ala., to tangle with the Rebels of Zion Chapel. Folks, it’s about as close a game as it will get now.

This will be good for about five minutes, and then it will be over. The only bright spot for the Rebels is they may be the first to score on the Dogs.

But that will be as close as they get. BHS-49, ZCHS -6.

The Flying Squadron will also travel this week; they will take a trip up to Dadeville to take on the Generals of Horseshoe Bend.

The Squadron will have very little trouble with this venture. This will not be good for the home crowd to watch.

The Squadron will have numerous trips up and down the field. I just hope they don’t get someone hurt, for they face Lanett, a very important area game, next week. HHS-56, HBHS- 7.

The Luverne Tigers will make their first road trip of the season as they travel to Lanett to play a very important area game. The Tigers must shore up their pass defense, play solid run defense and the offense must hit on all cylinders and stay away from turnovers for them to stay undefeated.

I think the Tiger staff will prepare the squad for this, and the Tigers should prevail. Luverne-26, Lanett-14.

The Trojans from T-town almost pulled off another big upset, but the ‘Noles were just too strong even on a bad day. This week will be worse.

The Tech Yellow Jackets won’t let the Trojans slip up on them like the ‘Noles did.

This will be the second of three losses in a row for the Trojans, and then they should get back on their winning ways. TU-14, GT-35.

The Auburn Tigers have their work cut out for them this week.

They will host the LSU Tigers. Mississippi State shut down the Auburn ground game and forced them to the air.

The Bengal Tigers will do this also with a lot better personnel.

The plainsmen will fall from the ranks of the undefeated this week.

The Orange Tigers just don’t have what it takes to handle the Purple Tigers from Baton Rouge. LSU-31, AU 14.

The Crimson Tide still have one more week to try to get some kind of offense on the field. They can’t keep relying on their defense to keep them in every game; eventually they are going to play a team that is as good as Bama is supposed to be.

This week is no cakewalk for the team that’s played the last two weeks in Bryant-Denny. They must put a solid game together and play on both sides of the ball. I think this will be done. Louisiana-Monroe is a fair team, but not the caliber of the Tide, if they play up to their potential.

This may be the week the Tide rises. L-M-10, UA -31.
