Since 1996, the city has gone from $5 million to $10 million in gross revenue, according to an audit conducted by Branum and Co. on behalf of city officials. One needs only note the extreme growth along I-65 to understand where a good portion of this funding has come from.

More impressive is that the city is operating with surplus funding of a little over $1 million dollars. As many municipalities are operating under severe financial restrictions, it's good to know that our city council is keeping a watchful eye over the taxpayers money to ensure our citizens are never at a want for help or services. The city is in as a financially stable shape as it's ever been in.
