&#8220We came out flat in the first half,” Greenville head coach Bryant Vincent said. &#8220We couldn't get into a rhythm and we challenged them at halftime and they responded.”

Vincent credited the defensive play of Kelcius Pate, Akeva Owens, Michael Johnson, Jamontay Pilson, Lamarcus Moorer and William Thomas for their outstanding effort.

&#8220Kelcius Pate played like a champ tonight,” Vincent said.

Although Vincent said he did not like the play and intensity of his team during the first half, the second half was much different.

&#8220The second half was as good a half as you could ask for on both offense and defense,” Vincent said.

While Vincent is excited his team is undefeated and sits at 3-0, he still sees room for imporvement.

&#8220It feels good to be 3-0 but I'm still not satisfied because we haven't played up to our potential or a full game yet,” Vincent said.

This week, the Tigers host No. 5 Eufaula in what should be one of the toughest games of the year.

&#8220We're bracing for Hurricane Eufaula,” Vincent said. &#8220They are without a doubt the best team in our region.”
