Nolan, Godwin united in marriage

Kayla Elizabeth Nolan of Fort Deposit and Reuben Gray Godwin of Greenville were united in marriage at Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Deposit at 5 p.m., June 3, 2006.

The officiating ministers were Pastor Eric Jackson and Dr. Billy Nutt.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Clayton Nolan of Fort Deposit, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Lenwood Blackburn of Georgiana and Mr. and Mrs. William Nolan of Fort Deposit.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Godwin of Greenville and the grandson of Mary Magdalene Godwin of Awen.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white organza gown featuring an embroidered bodice embellished with crystal and pearl accents, and a cathedral train with matching embroidery.

She wore a cathedral veil that extended the length of the train and a tiara formerly worn by the bride's sister-in-law. She carried a nosegay of pink and white roses, peonies and tiny green hydrangeas.

The maids of honor were twin sisters of the bride, Megan Ashley Nolan and Melissa Ann Nolan of Fort Deposit. Other bridal attendants were Jessica Ann Sullivan of Auburn, Lydia Ann McCullough of Greenville, and Suzanne Golson, Emily Danielle Heartsill and Amber Faith Butts, all of Fort Deposit.

The attendants wore pink two-piece strapless dresses of duponi silk designed by La Shae's, and carried nosegays of pink roses, peonies, and green hydrangeas.

Junior bridesmaids were Sarah Elizabeth Godwin, sister of the groom and Heather Ann Blackburn, cousin of the bride. They wore two-piece halter dress design by La Shae's, and carried small nosegays of pink roses.

The flower girls, Rebecca Taylor Zorn, Emily Grace Zorn and Virginia Ellis Zorn, were nieces of the groom. They wore pink hand-sewn dresses made by the bride's sister and carried white silk baskets.

The groom's father served as best man. The groomsmen were Ercil Edward Godwin, Joseph Aaron Godwin, Andrew Allen Godwin, brothers of the groom; Joseph Farrell of Montgomery, Justin Reese Kimbro and Ian Gray Kimbro of Greenville.

The junior groomsmen were Daniel Allen Nolan, brother of the bride, and Nathaniel Austen Godwin, brother of the groom. The ring bearers were nephews of the groom, James Isaac Zorn, Isaiah Manning Zorn and Jonathan Garret Zorn.

The church was decorated by wedding coordinator, Elsie Davis of Fort Deposit, assisted by Marcia Davis and Cathy Boutwell of Fort Deposit. The musicians for the ceremony were Elizabeth Smith, pianist and Lee Vickery, guitarist. The vocalists were Susan Vickery Sexton, Bonnie Bender Stinson, and Lee Vickery.

Guests were greeted and handed programs by Carley Rae Nolan and Bethany Janaye Nolan, cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Cambrian Ridge Club House at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Greenville.

The bride's cake was designed and made by Candice McBride of Honoraville and the groom's cake was created by Icing Illusions. The entertainment for the evening was provided by the band &#8220Sweet Young'uns.”

After a honeymoon in St. Augustine, the couple resides in Fort Deposit.
