A week after putting together a furious fourth-quarter comeback only to fall short, the Georgiana Panthers return to action Friday night as they take on the Flomaton Hurricanes.

The Panthers dropped to 2-4 on the season and 2-2 in region play after Friday night's 34-23 loss to Red Level, and face a must-win game this week if they want to make the playoffs.

Flomaton is coming off a 42-13 loss to No. 4 Leroy, the same team that beat Georgiana 28-0, and the Panthers must be able to put points on the board against a stingy Hurricane defense.

During Friday's loss to Red Level, the Panthers put up 366 yards of total offense, including 197 in the air from quarterback Andre Paige.

Damien McIntosh and Terrence Matthews each had touchdown receptions in the loss.

The Georgiana defense, which needs another strong performance Friday night, was led by Dedric Rich with eight tackles during the loss to Red Level.

Kickoff for Friday's game at Harmon Field versus the Flomaton Hurricanes is scheduled for 7 p.m.
