The Brantley Bulldogs gave Providence a rude welcoming into the Dawg Pound Friday night, turning them every which way but loose before running them out of town on the wrong end of a 55-0 score.

The victory was a big one as the Bulldogs celebrated Homecoming.

The thumping came at the hands of the entire team as the passing, receiving, rushing and defense were spread out equally among all the Dawgs.

Jonathan Helms led the passing attack, hitting on 4 of 5 for 65 yards and 1 TD, while Anthony Gulley connected on 3 of 3 for 52 yards and 2 scores. Austin Brook was the main target, snagging 3 for 47 yards and a touchdown, while Chris Booker and Justin Wright added 1 touchdown catch a piece. Booker also headed up the ground game, running 3 times for 127 yards and 2 TD’s, as Channing Booker ran 5 times for 43 yards, and James Pittman 4 for 31 yards and 1 score.

The Daniels' Gang once again headed up the defensive charge as Dexter had 13 stops and Jeffrey 9. Jeffrey also had 1 interception for a score, while Roy-L Knighten contributed an interception and Brook a fumble recovery.

This Friday, Brantley plays host to Florala at 7 p.m.
