Williams to represent South Alabama EC on AEC board of trustees

Leo Williams of Luverne, Ala., has been elected to represent South Alabama Electric Cooperative, Troy, Ala., on the Alabama Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AEC) board of trustees. Williams's appointment to the board was approved at AEC's Dec. 15 board meeting.

During his almost 24 years on South Alabama EC's board, Williams has earned his Board Leadership Certification and is a Certified Cooperative Director. He currently serves as president of the board. He also represents South Alabama EC on the Alabama Rural Electric Association (AREA) board.

Williams, a self-employed farmer, earned his B.S. degree from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the Alcazar Shrine Club, the Crenshaw County Shrine Club, the Masons and Luverne Methodist Church.

He and his wife, Helen, have three children - Hal, Ken and Wendy.
