Fort Dale Pee wee league resumes after holiday break

The Fort Dale Pee wee leagues got back into action this week after taking off for the holiday break.

Here are the results of both the girl's and boy's leagues:

Pee wee girls

Red 19, Orange 9

Anne Matthews had more points than the opposing team Saturday as the red team downed the orange team, 19-9.

Matthews led the red team with 14 points, 12 of which came in the second half, while teammates Nedra Toulmin Crosby and Molley Boutwell each had two points and Samantha Smith had one.

Hayden Robinson led the orange team with six points, Amy Lewis had two and Cailyn Thompson had one.

Gray 20, Blue 18

The blue team scored 10 points in the final period Saturday and held the gray team to just two points, but it wasn't enough as the gray team escaped with the win, 20-18.

Caroline Snellgrove led the gray team with eight points, Baily Fox and Hannah Johnson each had four and Laura Sellers Purdue and Marie Claire Carlton each had two in the win.

For the blue team, Theresa Scott was the leading scorer with seven points, all of which came in the second half.

Lauren Anderson had four points for the blue team, Ashton Scott had three and Susan Cole and Lexie Bargainier each had two.

Pee wee boys

Red 18, Blue 16

Ryan Taylor had a game-high nine points Saturday, all of which came in the second half, to lead the red team over the blue team, 18-16.

Wesley Scott was the next leading scorer for the red team with four points while teammates McKinley Lee and Caleb Whigham each had two.

Brady Clark also scored a point in the win.

For the blue team, Dylan Jones was the leading scorer with seven points.

Jack Bates and Daniel Hall Autrey each had four points for the blue team while Keaton Flemming scored one.

White 33, Green 15

Eight players scored for the white team Saturday, led by Chip Taylor, as the white cruised to victory over the green, 33-15.

Taylor was the leading scorer for the white with 11 points while teammates James Burkett and Avery Shipp each had six points.

Cade Tillery, Hudson Branum, Tyler Gibson, Kris Wilson and Cody Parker each had two points in the win.

For the green team, Harper Vinson had a team-high six points and teammate Patrick Russell contributed five points.

John Coleman Poole and Curt Davis also got into the scoring action with two points apiece.
