Demopolis High's Chris Cantry did it all.

Down by four points to the Greenville High varsity basketball team Tuesday night with just seconds to go, Cantry led one of the most impressive comebacks thus far this basketball season as the Demopolis Tigers overcame a 13-point fourth quarter deficit to down Greenville, 56-55.

With just four seconds remaining in the game, Cantry nailed a three-pointer to put Demopolis down by one and, after tying up Greenville on the inbound pass to take back possession with 0.4 seconds to go, Demopolis went back to Cantry.

With just enough time on the clock to tip the ball, Demopolis did just that as the inbound pass was delivered to Cantry and he tipped it in at the buzzer for the win.

Cantry led the Demopolis Tigers with 28 points, 18 of which came in the final period.

Next for the Tigers was Brian Taylor with 12 points and Patrick Robertson with five points.

For Greenville, junior guard Tyus Robinson was the team's leading scorer with 12 points. Junior Edward Searight and sophomore Andres Gentry were next with eight points apiece while junior Michael Peagler finished with seven.

Darrell Carter had five points in the loss and junior Casey Weston, who had to leave early in the game with a busted lip but returned, finished with four points.

The Tigers will return to action January 19 to face Hillcrest-Evergreen in the first game of a three-game home stand.

The Tigers will take also take on Charles Henderson January 20 and Bullock County January 23 at home.

Greenville 55, Demopolis 29

The Greenville High School B-team took advantage of an 11-point halftime lead Tuesday afternoon to down the Demopolis Tigers, 55-29.

The Tiger defense held Demopolis to just four points in the final period to seal the win.

Marcus Crum was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 12 points.

Freshman Mikwese Claybourne had 10 points for Greenville while teammates Traves Yelder and Brentley Hill each had nine.

Nicholas McHenry and Marcus Mickles also each had six points in the win.

For Demopolis, Anthony Hardy was the leading scorer with nine points while Curtis Witherspoon had seven points and Jeremy Wallace had six.
