Jaqueline Taylor celebrates 8th birthday at Petrey Community Supper

On Saturday evening, the town of Petrey hosted its monthly community supper at 6 p.m. at the Petrey Community House.

At 6:30 p.m., Miss Jaqueline Taylor was honored by her family and friends of the community with a birthday party to celebrate her 8th birthday.

A &uot;Spongebob Squarepants&uot; birthday cake was served to the guests along with many other desserts and refreshments.

Approximately ten children and twenty adults attended the event.

Jaqueline received many gifts.

On Friday evening, Ms. Ashley Meadows, son Blake Meadows, and niece Lara Leigh Kelley went to BasketBowl in Luverne.

On Sunday, January 14, Live Oak UMC and Rutledge UMC went to the Luverne Nursing Home to sing and to present a devotional to the residents.

On Sunday, January 14, Ms. Allison Jeffcoat of Montgomery, Mrs. Kimberly Inlow, Ansley Inlow, Amelia Inlow, and Caroline Inlow of Albany, Ga., visited their parents Mr. Kline and Mrs. Patsy Jeffcoat in Petrey.

They stayed until Tuesday, January 16.

The town of Petrey would like to announce that starting February 1, 2007, Mrs. Patsy Jeffcoat will be hosting a weekly Bible study on Thursday nights from 6:30-7:30.

Everyone is invited to attend.
