Stormpay.com Series heading to the BCMP

The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series is growing in the state of Alabama with the addition of Butler County Motorsports Park in Greenville, AL for the 2007 season that runs from March 30 through September 30.

The StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series competitors at Butler County Motorsports Park will now run for two point funds.

Not only will they we eligible for their track point fund by competing on each Saturday night, but also a regional point fund competing against drivers at other StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series sanctioned tracks throughout the Southeast without having to leave their home track through a consistent points system.

The top drivers in the Butler County Motorsports Park StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Division will also receive an invitation to compete in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series National Championship Invitational Shootout on November 23 at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS.

The Butler County Motorsports Park StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Crate Late Model Division will compete under the rulebook of the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series.

The engines for the dirt late models competing with the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Division at Butler County Motorsports Park are GM Performance Crate Engines.

They are built and sealed at the factory to prevent competitors from making any expensive modifications.

The GM Performance Crate engines are shipped to GM Dealers throughout the country, and are readily available to be picked up and placed in the racecar the same day.

The aluminum-head 400 horsepower 604 engine sells for right at $5,000, and the steelhead 350 horsepower 602 engine sells for right at $3,000.

The 602 engine also gets a 150-pound weight break.

The addition of Butler County Motorsports Park now gives the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series four sanctioned tracks in Alabama with Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., Penton Raceway in Penton, Ala., and Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala.
