Hendrix, Countess wed in December

Kia Ann Hendrix and Captain Jon Countess were united in marriage on December 9, 2006 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo, North Carolina.

The Reverend Josh Phillips officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride, a nurse, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hendrix of Tabor City, N.C.

She was given in marriage by her father.

The bridal attendants were Nicole Inman, maid of honor; and bridesmaids Karen Coleman, Lori Pate, Rachel Meares and Ashley Sarvis. Hannah Faulk was the flower girl.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Countess of Huntsville and serves as an officer in the U.S. Army.

His father served as best man.

Groomsmen were Rob Rhoades, Justin Gerken and Ed Whatley. Will Sarvis served as ring bearer.

A reception in the church's fellowship hall followed the ceremony.

The couple enjoyed a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C.
