Turner Family holds annual reunion Feb. 25

Descendants of George Washington Beauregard Turner and Mary Jane Coker Turner held their annual Turner Family Reunion on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at the Crenshaw County Shriners Club in Luverne. The gathering began at 10 a.m. and lasted throughout the afternoon with the family enjoying a luncheon together.

Approximately 43 relatives were in attendance for the annual event.

This year held a special occasion as Edward L. Turner, Jr., celebrated his 90th birthday. The family presented him with a birthday cake and sang &#8220Happy Birthday” to him.

Morgan of Birmingham; Carolyn Turner Henry of Luverne; Mary Coker Morgan of Luverne; Mary Capps of Luverne; Melanie Asbell of Greenville, S.C.; Larry Cannon of Columbia, S.C.; Linda and Bobby Head of Dothan; Myrtle Campbell of Dothan; Joy Rue of Mobile; Ed Turner of Luverne; Georgia Bolling of Luverne; Ralph, Jenny, Turner and Ralph Clements of Birmingham; Anne Foster of Raleigh, N.C.; and Kirk, Crystal, Ryan, Raegan and Walker Alsbrooks of Rutledge.
