0n Sunday, March 25, 2007, Miss Lacey Scott Kelley, four-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Kristin) Kelley, was christened by Rev. Lavon Davis in a full sanctuary during the 10 a.m. morning worship service at Petrey UMC.

The church was decorated beautifully with an arrangement of pink roses, with baby's breath and ivy housed in a tall wooden basket centering the altar.

Guests were welcomed into the vestibule by a small wicker angel holding a bouquet of pink, white and yellow daisies.

The piano was adorned by an arrangement of pink, yellow and white daisies supplemented by baby's breath, asparagus fern and tiny azaleas.

Musical entertainment and piano specials were provided by Mr. James Green and Ms. Ashley Meadows.

Lacey was received in baptism by her family members, Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Kristin) Kelley, parents; Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Laura) Elliott, maternal grandparents; Mr. David Kelly and Ms. Tina Wright, paternal grandparents; Mrs. Cleo Kelley, great-grandmother; Ms. Ashley Meadows and Miss Taylor Wright, aunts; Mr. Blake Meadows, cousin; and, last but not least, &#8220big sister” Lara Leigh Kelley.

Lacey was also welcomed into the church by the rest of the congregation who presented her with a baptismal gift as a token of their appreciation for her parents' dedication to the church.

After the church service, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Elliott entertained Lacey's family with a lunch at their home.
