n He Lives ‘Eggs-Travaganza'

Call to Life Worship Center is sponsoring an Easter event in Confederate Park in Greenville from 2 to 4 p.m. on this date. Easter egg hunt ages 10 and under with great prizes; bring your camera for photos with the Easter Bunny. Face painting, balloons, hands-on children's crafts, sack races and more fun will be offered.

LBWCC-Greenville is hosting a yard sale from 6 a.m. until – Saturday, April 7 to raise funds for Phi Theta Kappa.

n Yard Sale for Relay

A yard sale is planned from 7 a.m. to noon by the Liber-T Birds, the Liberty National Relay For Life Team. All proceeds will go to the Butler County RFL. The sale will be held in the parking lot of the Liberty National offices, 115 E. Commerce St.

n P&R Easter Egg Hunt

The Greenville Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt for toddlers through 2nd grade at 10 a.m. at the City Softball Complex.

Greenville Main Street presents the noted acoustic group The Alabama Gravy Soppers in Confederate Park at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Along with the live music, ladies donating their hair to Locks of Love and Expressions of Love will be cutting their ponytails for this worthy cause that evening. BBQ baskets will be sold for $5 each with all proceeds going to the Butler County ACS Relay for Life. Come out, enjoy the music and support the fight against cancer!

n OCAP Head Start applications

OCAP Head Start is now accepting applications for children, ages 3 to 5 for the 2007-2008 school year. The child must be three years old by Sept. 2, 2007. Applications are being taken Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the following Head Start centers: Greenville, 334-382-8034; Luverne, 334-335-3909, and Georgiana, 334-376-5331. Requirements are: birth certificate, physical or Medicaid screening, blue shot record, proof of income, Social Security numbers of all family members in household, food stamp card and Medicaid card or insurance information. Head Start is available for all children regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability or national origin.
