Harley's Angels are rebels with a cause.

And that cause is fighting cancer.

This band of angels is hosting a Motorcycle Poker Run as they go&#8220cruisin' for a cure” on Saturday, April 14.

It's all part of the 2007 Butler County ACS Relay For Life.

Relay For Life is a cause close to the heart of &#8220Harley's Angel” team member, April Langford of Greenville.

&#8220My dad died of cancer, and this has become a crusade for me ever since. We feel like this motorcycle run is a really great way to raise money for such a good cause,” Langford said.

Riders will collect logo materials donated to them by participating businesses along the route.

&#8220They will return items from each check point and then draw a poker hand. The hands are $15 each and you can play as many hands as you'd like,” Langford said.

&#8220We also have some people who don't want to play poker, but simply want to ride along and donate to the cause. That's fine with us, too.”

The player with the best hand will win a $100 cash prize and there will also be a prize awarded for the worst hand.

&#8220We also have a lot of great prizes donated to us by local businesses for our raffle. And we plan to sell 50/50 tickets. If your ticket matches the winning one, you will get half the pot,” Langford explained.

Registration is slated for 1 p.m. with the event scheduled to run between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The run will stop and end at the MDBP Service Station on Hwy 10 and I-65, the former Myrick's BP.

Riders will travel from MDBP to Greenville Storage, G & S Auto Exchange, Butler Services, Labor Finders of Montgomery, Chef's Table, MJ's Car Wash, Court Square Caf\u00E9 and Easterling's Produce, then back to MDBP.

Langford said the team had blanketed the area &#8220from Camden to Fort Deposit” with flyers and hopes for a great turnout.

&#8220We've discovered there is a motorcycle group right here in Greenville called the Southern Cruisers and it has 150 members. And we're hoping Don Atkinson of Weigl's will bring some of his customers along, too,” Langford said.

&#8220We are looking forward to a really good event and hope to raise lots and lots of money for Relay this year.”
