n GHS Class of ‘77 meeting

n Midway Community Church Ladies Retreat

Women's Ministries of Midway Community Church, Dock Rd., invites women of the area to bring a favorite doll and join them from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21. n Concert/Hair Cutting in the Park

Greenville Main Street presents the noted acoustic group The Alabama Gravy Soppers in Confederate Park at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Along with the live music, ladies donating their hair to Locks of Love and Expressions of Love will be cutting their ponytails for this worthy cause that evening. BBQ baskets will be sold for $5 each with all proceeds going to the Butler County ACS Relay for Life. Come out, enjoy the music and support the fight against cancer!

n The Alabama Boys in concert

Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church presents The Alabama Boys in concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at Dunbar Rec Center in Greenville. Mistress of Order will be Connie B. from Hallelujah 104.3 Also featuring Evangelist Brenda Williams and the Camellia City Singers, the Gospel Voices of Georgiana and more. Free admission. A love offering will be taken at the concert.

There will be a gospel singing at the Chapman Church of God on Saturday Night April

21 at 7 p.m.

The featured singers will be the Kel'Lee Family (Pete & Kerri Lee family with Robert & LInda Kelley). The public is invited to come out and enjoy the blessings of God in songs of praise.

n Ray and Laura Lewis in concert

Lewis and Lewis will be the special musical guests at the Greenville Church of God April 22, 2007 for Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m.

Ray and Laura have written songs recorded by some of today's most popular gospel singers. Their recordings and videos have enjoyed national success.

n Pastoral Anniversary at Mt. Zion

The 2nd Pastoral Anniversary of Rev. Ronald L. Thompson of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville is at 2 p.m. April 22. Guest speaker will be Rev. Howard Jones of New Hope Christian Church of Letohatchee.

n ‘Puttin' in the Ritz' fundraiser

The all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza &#8220Puttin' on the Ritz” is coming to the Ritz Theatre Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. The musical is a fundraiser for the Greenville Area Arts Council to fund its future season. Help support the arts in Greenville and have a fun, music-filled evening showcasing local talent in knockout costumes! Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for adults with all proceeds going to the GAAC. n &#8220Winnie-The-Pooh” at GHS

The Greenville High School Old Gym Players present the musical &#8220Winnie-The-Pooh,” a fun-filled treat for the whole family. Three performances are on tap: Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28, at 7 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on April 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $3 and available at the school office and at the door.

n Hopewell 5th Sunday Singing

Hopewell Baptist Church in the Wildfork Community will have a Fifth Sunday Night Singing beginning at 5 p.m. April 29. Featured guests will be Becky Welch, Bill and virginia Gafford and Robert and Barbara Layton. Please make plans to join us. Refreshments will be served following the event.

Shackleville Baptist Church will hold their 5th Sunday Singing at 1:30 p.m. April 29. The Workmen Quarter from Pensacola will be featured. Everyone is welcome!

n Harrell to speak at Glenwood AOG

David Harrell, drug task force agent, will speak at Glenwood Assembly Of God at 5:30 Sunday night, April 29. Displays, lab pictures, drug fighting equipment and a Q & A session will be part of the event. Special music and refreshments will also be provided. All churches and individuals are welcome to attend this informative event.

n Awin 5th Sunday Singing

Awin Baptist will be having a 5th Sunday Singing at 10 a.m., April 29. Lunch will be served at noon and the singing will resume at 1:30 p.m. Becky Welch and other gospel singers will perform.

Revival services beginning April 30, Monday thru Wednesday evening, May 2 at 7 p.m. each evening. Evangelist is Rev. Johnny Stabler. All are invited to come and worship.
