Lady Tide earns first win

The Lady Tide scored six runs in the final inning Monday, lifting them to their first Dixie Angels victory of the season over the Yellow Jackets, 10-7.

Offensively for the Lady Tide (1-3), Callie Waite and Lauren Pierce each scored two runs while Mallory Conway, Alexia Johnson, Alexis Landrum, Clair Waite and Cheyanne Kilpatrick each scored one in the win.

For the Yellow Jackets (2-2), Ashlyn McKeown was the leading scorer with two runs, followed by Mya Coleman, Hannah Reaves, Breanna Clark, Taylor Johnson and Jessica McNaughton with one run each.

The Lady Tide will return to action Thursday as they take on the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will take on the Blue Jays at 6 p.m.

Rebels 19, Blue Jays 3

Alex Merry was 3-for-3 with a homerun and three runs scored as the Rebels scored eight runs in each of the first two innings Monday en route to the 19-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Carmen Till, Kindal Harrell, Taylor Waller, Katelyn Brooks, Emily Webster, Sarah Elizabeth Owens and Raneiyah Smith each scored two runs for the Rebels (4-0) while Taylor King and Janazia Thompson each scored one.

For the Blue Jays (1-3), Olivia Foster, Rhiya Daniel and Kirsten Jordan each scored a run.

The Rebels will return to action Thursday as they take on the Lady Tide at 7:30 p.m. The Blue Jays will take on the Yellow Jackets at 6 p.m.
