Daphne Moore threw a one-hit shutout Monday as the Heat downed the Dixie Chicks in Dixie Ponytails action, 14-0.

Casey Graham was the leading hitter for the Heat (4-0) with a double and three runs scored.

Moore also scored three runs for the Heat while Rebecca Dicks, Hannah Burnett and Faith King each scored two. Dana Moore and Taylor Merry also each scored a run in the win.

For the Dixie Chicks (1-3), Jasmine Morris had the lone hit, a third-inning double.

The Heat will return to action Thursday as they take on the Angels at 6 p.m. The Dixie Chicks will take on the Red Sox at 7:30 p.m.

Red Sox 12, Angels 3

The Red Sox scored four runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth Monday as they cruised to victory over the Angels, 12-3.

Brittany Reaves, Bridgejue Patterson, Kenyatta Peterson, Chynenne Bell and Haley Williams each scored two runs for the Sox (2-2), including a double by Williams in the fourth.

Ashley Ballard and Maria Betton also each scored a run for the Sox.

For the Angels (1-3), Keonna Brown, Alisha Stewart and Amelia Grider each scored a run.

The Red Sox will return to action Thursday as they take on the Dixie Chicks at 7:30 p.m. The Angels will take on the Heat at 6 p.m.
