Five homeruns helps Rebels take down Lady Tide

Emily Webster hit two homeruns and Alex Merry, Kindal Harrell and Katelyn Brooks each hit one Thursday as the Rebels remained undefeated in Dixie Angels action by taking the win over the Lady Tide, 15-9.

Webster and Harrell finished with three runs apiece for the Rebels (5-0), Merry, Brooks and Carmen Till each finished with two runs apiece and Taylor King, Taylor Waller, Raneiyah Smith and Tori Simmons each finished with one run in the win.

For the Lady Tide (1-4), Alexia Johnson and Charli Hood each had two hits and two runs scored, including a pair of doubles by Hood, while Mallory Conway, Lekonna Powell, Alexis Landrum, Savannah Worthington and Callie Waite each finished with a hit and a run scored.

Brienna Worthington also had a hit for the Lady Tide.

The Rebels will return to action Monday as they take on the Yellow Jackets at 6 p.m. The Lady Tide will take on the Blue Jays at 7:30 p.m.

Blue Jays 17, Yellow Jackets 6

Olivia Foster, Rhiya Daniel and Madison McNaughton scored three runs apiece Thursday as the Blue Jays flew past the Yellow Jackets to take the win, 17-6.

McNaughton finished with three hits for the Blue Jays (2-3), including a triple, while Foster and Daniel finished with two hits apiece, including a pair of triples by Daniel.

Devin Duke had three hits and one run scored, Chelsey Mink and Alexis Wilson had two hits apiece and Takeria Walker, Renee Mayberry and Mary Glenn Fold each finished with one hit, including a homerun by Walker and a triple by Mayberry.

For the Yellow Jackets (2-3), Morgan Perdue had two hits and a run scored while Savannah Mauch, Hannah Reaves, Breanna Clark, Hannah Owens, Megan Phelps, Tykeria Banks and Taylor Jordan each had a hit.

Mya Coleman also scored a run for the Yellow Jackets.

The Blue Jays will return to action Monday as they take on the Lady Tide at 7:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will take on the Rebel at 6 p.m.
