Frazier freezes A#039;s

Stewart Moody was 3-for-3 with three runs scored Thursday as the Braves shut down and shut out the A's to take the Dixie Boys victory, 10-0.

Jeremy McGinty was next for the Braves (2-1), finishing 2-for-2 with a double and run scored.

Kendrick Thomas, Tucker Harrell, Mitch Young, Hunter Armstrong, Eli Blackmon and Nathan Branum each finished with a hit, including a double and a run scored by Armstrong, Blackmon and Branum.

Daniel Frazier also scored two runs in the win.

For the A's (1-2), Trent Norris, Jared Edge and Skylar McKeown each scattered a hit, including a double by Edge and McKeown.

The Braves will return to action Monday as they take on the Cubs at 7:45 p.m. The A's will take on the Red Sox Monday at 6 p.m.

Red Sox 10, Cubs 0

The Red Sox scored eight runs in the first inning Thursday, which proved to be enough as they cruised to victory over the Cubs, 10-0.

Offensively for the Red Sox (3-0), Kevin Taylor was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, Todd Burkett was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Hunter Harrell was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Rush Nimmer was 2-for-2 with a triple, Stephen Till was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Jonathan Scott was 1-for-3, Gray Vinson was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Cody Tesmer was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Nick Davis was 1-for-1 with a run scored.

Chance Williams also scored a run in the win.

For the Cubs (0-3), Devontae McMeans, Cedric Searight and Willie Thigpen each reached base.

The Red Sox will return to action Monday as they take on the A's at 6 p.m. The Cubs will take on the Braves Monday at 7:45 p.m.

Red Sox 2, Braves 1

Hunter Harrell and Kevin Taylor each scored a run Tuesday, which proved to be enough as the Red Sox slipped by the Braves, 2-1.

Jonathan Scott, Stephen Till and Harrell were each 2-for-3 to lead the Sox while Cody Tesmer, Andrew Burleson and Charlie Schofield each scattered a hit in the win.

For the Braves, Daniel Frazier was 2-for-3, Hunter Armstrong was 1-for-3 with a run scored and Eli Blackmon, Dalton Burns and Kendrick Thomas each had a hit.

A's 22, Cubs 0

Skylar McKeown, Caleb Parsons and Jared Edge each blasted a triple Tuesday to help lift the A's to victory over the Cubs, 22-0.

Taylor Loftin and Edge led the A's in scoring with four runs apiece while Clint Norris and Parson each scored three in the win.

Jerome Cook, Trent Norris and McKeown each scored two for the A's and Jay Johnson and Cody Delaney each scored one.
