&uot;Glitz & Glamour&uot; was the theme for the 48th Annual LHS Beauty Pageant Saturday night, where Brandi Rolling was crowned Miss LHS.

Other winners were Ashley Hall, first runner up and Miss Congeniality; Summer Pettus, second runner up; Lori Niswander, third runner up; and Kasi Jordan, Miss Photogenic.

Lacey Jones and Cameron Gorey were also selected for the top six. Please look for group photos of the winners in next week's edition of The Luverne Journal.

Special entertainment was provided by the LHS Step Team, singers Matthew Holmes, Chasity Faulk, Lauren Payton, Brian Manies and Brittany King, and dancers Mary Cathryn Perdue, Mallie Alford, Tori Free, Rachel Tatom and Tiffany Weeks.

Mr. Tom Perdue delighted the audience as emcee for the evening.

May is a very busy month at Luverne School.

The Luverne Lady Tigers' Varsity Softball team, with a 16-0 regular season, will host the Regional Tournament beginning Friday, May 4th.

The LHS Band will be traveling to Orlando for fun and adventure this week.

The LES K-6 grades will take a field trip to attend &uot;Disney on Ice&uot; this Friday, May 4th.

HOSA, (Health Occupations Students of America), took a field trip to the Montgomery Zoo on Wednesday, May 2nd.

Graduation is set for Thursday, May 24th, and the last day for students to attend school is May 25th.
