The Brantley High School Baseball team is in the Class 1-A state play-offs. The team members are Johnathon Helms, Austin Brook, Terry McClain, Patrick Kilcrease, Chase Haws, Westley Spivey, Roy L. Knighten, Anthony Gulley, Chase Hall, Wesley Hall, Jared Hall, Chris Walker, Lee Anderson, Bo Bowlan, and Stephen Walker.

The coaches are Mr. Ashley Kilcrease and Mr. Greg Evans.

The FFA Soil Judging Team left on Monday for national competition.

The competition is in Oklahoma.

The team members are Landon Morgan, Amanda Rayborn, Taylor Andrews, and Justin Frazier.

One of our seniors, Miss Lynley Godwin, was chosen as a 2007 Huntington College cheerleader.

Huntington College is located in Montgomery, Ala.

The fourth grade students attended the Groundwater Festival on Friday, April 27, at the LBWCC- Luverne Center.

There were also some high school students who went as chaperones.

The sixth grade honor students went to the Crenshaw County Lake on Friday, April 27.

They had a fun day of fishing at the Luverne Rotary Club's annual &#8220Fishing Rodeo” for the county's honor students for the year.

The honor students are Laken Johnson, Caleb Petty, Zeth Johnson, Erica Daniels, Jud Owens, Summer Jenkins, Wesley Person, Tye Rayborn, Andrew Lowery, Haley Rainey, Zane Johnson, Alexis Foster, Taylor Driggers, Charlie Ball, Emily Alverson, Braxton Barnes, and Laken Barnes.

The Miss BHS Pageant will be held on Thursday, May 10, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5. This year's theme is &#8220Life is a Highway.”
