Bulldogs ranked second in state

After a sound defeating over the Fayetteville Wolves last Friday in a double-header, the Brantley Bulldogs are now ranked second in the state in Class 1-A baseball action.

On April 27, the Bulldogs defeated Fayetteville 14-4 and 10-0. Both games ended in the fifth inning.

Their overall record is now 25-10, and their playoff record is 3-0.

This Friday, May 4, Head Coach Ashley Kilcrease and the Dogs are traveling to Washington County to face Millry High School in the third round of the state playoffs. The doubleheader action begins at 3:30 Friday afternoon.

&#8220If it's a split win, we'll play them again Saturday morning at 11:30,” Kilcrease said.

If the Bulldogs defeat Millry in both games Friday, they will face the winner of the Providence Christian-Pleasant Home game for the semi-finals, which are scheduled for Friday, May 11.
