Jacob Sexton receives Troy University scholarship

Jacob Allen Sexton, a senior at Luverne High School, is a recipient of a Troy University scholarship.

Sexton will become a Trojan in the fall of 2007. He will receive a Chancellor's Award, a full-tuition scholarship worth approximately $18,000 over the next four years.

Troy University offers associate, bachelor's, master's and education specialist degrees and is dedicated to student preparation in the fields of education, arts and sciences, fine arts, business, communication, applied science, nursing and allied health services.

Troy University serves more than 28,000 students worldwide.

The main campus in Troy serves students from 48 U. S. states and 60 foreign nations.

In addition to his scholarship, Sexton also was selected to receive the Distinguished Freshman Honor Student Award from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, which was presented to him at the Annual Awards Program on Tuesday, April 24, on the Andalusia Campus.
