Dunn#039;s three-run homerun vaults Royals over Nationals

John Dunn was 1-for-2 with a three-run homerun in the third inning Friday to help lift the Royals to victory over the Nationals in Dixie Youth action, 4-1.

Dustin Moorhead, Ryan Taylor and Roscoe Moorhead were also each 1-for-2 with a run scored for the Royals (3-5), including a triple by Roscoe in the second inning.

Colby Mansmum was also 1-for-2 in the win.

For the Nationals (3-5), Harper Vinson, David Miller and Julius Lymon were all 1-for-2 while Lymon scored the only run in the fourth inning.

The Royals will take on the Orioles Friday at 7:30 p.m., while the Nationals will take on the Rangers at 6 p.m.

Rangers 5, Orioles 2

The Rangers scored four runs in the fourth inning Friday as they took the close win over the Orioles, 5-2.

Jason Schofield was 1-for-2 with a double for the Rangers (6-2), Chase Whiddon was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Dylan Jones scored two runs and Michael Meyers and Michael Smith each scored a run in the win.

For the Orioles (4-4), Cade Tillery was 1-for-2 while Andy Burns and Toby King each scored a run.

The Rangers will take on the Nationals Friday at 6 p.m., while the Orioles will take on the Royals at 7:30 p.m.
