Mr. and Mrs. Michael Benjamin Autrey of Greenville are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Candler Autrey of Atlanta to Dr. Michael Craig McDaniel of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Craig McDaniel of Atlanta.

Miss Autrey is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cranston Thompson of Bay Minette, and Mrs. Benjamin Pershing Autrey and the late Benjamin Pershing Autrey of Greenville.

She is a graduate of Fort Dale Academy and earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Auburn University.

At AU, Miss Autrey served as a War Eagle Girl and was affiliated with Phi Mu Sorority.

She was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board and Cater Society at the university.

Miss Autrey is a pediatric cardiology nurse at Children's Hospital-Egleston in Atlanta.

Dr. McDaniel is the grandson of Mrs. Mildred Pearson and the late Otto Guy Taff of Macon, Mississippi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Phillips McDaniel of St. Louis, Missouri.

A graduate of the Westminster School in Atlanta, he was a Phi Beta Kappa honor graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a bachelor's degree in biology.

He was affiliated with Phi Delta Theta at the school.

Dr. McDaniel received his medical doctorate degree from the Medical School of Georgia, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha.

He completed his internal medicine residency at Emory, where he is currently a cardiology fellow.

The wedding will take place June 30, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery.
