Carnes, Harden plan June 30 ceremony

Rickey and Debbie Carnes of Monroeville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Michelle Carnes of Monroeville, to Matthew Bart Harden of Ariton, son of Bart and Lisa Harden of Ariton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ida Belle Carnes and the late Max Carnes of Brantley and the late Earl and June Davis of Ft. Gaines, Ga.

She is a 2000 graduate of Monroe County High School and a 2006 graduate of Auburn University where she received her Master's in Communication Disorders.

She is currently employed with the Autauga County Board of Education as a speech therapist at Prattville Primary School.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Hubert and Marjorie Phillips of Ariton and John and Lena Kate Harden of Enon.

He is a 1999 graduate of Ariton High School.

He graduated from Troy University in 2004 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

He is employed as a firefighter with the City of Troy and also works with CARE Ambulance Service in Troy.

The wedding is planned for 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Monroeville, Ala.
