Chicken Shack owner robbed Sunday night at gunpoint

The Chicken Shack, a popular and busy restaurant located on South Forest Avenue in Luverne, was robbed Sunday night after closing.

According to Luverne Police Chief Paul Allen, Henry Money, owner of the Chicken Shack, was robbed at gunpoint by an unidentified male. Money was about to get into his vehicle with a bank deposit bag; he was alone at the time of the robbery.

The suspect took the deposit bag from Money and left the scene. Money was not injured during the incident.

After the Luverne Police Department was notified of the robbery, a K-9 unit was also brought in to assist. However, the suspect was not found.

Allen said the investigation is still ongoing.
