Mike and Debby Herring and Johnny and Janice Cole are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Deidre LeeAnne Herring and John Ferrell Cole.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Utley of Smyrna, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Herring of Wichita Falls, Texas.

The groom-elect's grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Pugh of Pine Apple and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Cole of Forest Home.

Miss Herring graduated from Newton High School in Covington, Ga. in 2001. On May 5, 2007, she received her bachelors degree in nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University.

The groom-elect graduated from Greenville Academy in 1999. He received his bachelors degree in business administration with concentration in computer science in 2004 from Troy University in Montgomery.

Currently pursuing his masters degree in computer science at TUM, Mr. Cole is employed with LJT and Associates as a systems administrator.

The marriage celebration will be an event of May 18, 2007 on Hilton Head Island, S.C., and is scheduled for 6 p.m. on the beach.
