Dixie Youth

Rangers 4, Nationals 1

Wesley Scott and Dylan Jones hit back-to-back singles, driving in three runs, in the fourth inning Friday to lift the Rangers to the Dixie Youth victory over the Nationals, 4-1.

Offensively for the Rangers (7-3), Scott was 1-for 2 with a run scored, Jones was 1-for-2, Chip Taylor scored two runs and Chase Whiddon scored one.

For the Nationals (3-7), David Miller and Seth Glass were each 1-for-2 while Matthew Bender scored the only run.

Whiddon picked up the win for the Rangers.

The Rangers will return to action Friday as they take on the Royals at 6 p.m. The Nationals will take on the Orioles Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Royals-Orioles PPD

The Royals-Orioles game scheduled for Friday was rained out. No make up date has been set.

Dixie Minors

Braves 3, Red Sox 2

Dalton Weeks hit a double and a scored in extra innings Thursday to give the Braves the Dixie Minors win over the Red Sox, 3-2.

At the plate for the Braves (7-2), Weeks was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Price Jones was 1-for-3 and Will Petty and Samuel Harris each scored a run.

For the Red Sox (7-2), Nick Hartley was 3-for-4, Ryan Burkett was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Justice Taylor was 2-for-3, Avery Shipp was 1-for-3, Drake Cabe was 1-for-4 and Colt Reaves scored a run in the second inning.

Payton Frazier struck out 14 batters in the win for the Braves.

The Braves will take on the Indians Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Red Sox will take on the Yankees Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Orioles 3, Indians 1

Colby Booker had the only hit for the Orioles Thursday as he paced his team to victory over the Indians, 3-1.

Booker lead the Orioles (3-6) with a first-inning double, followed by Cody Harrell, Brady Vincent and Ross Wilson each with a run scored.

Cody Parker was the leading hitter for the Indians (2-7) with a fourth-inning double while Tanner Pouncey also had a hit in the third inning. Dalton Hood scored the only run for the Indians in the second inning.

The Orioles will take on the Yankees Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Indians will take on the Braves Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Dixie Boys

Red Sox 8, Braves 3

The Red Sox scored six runs in the third inning Thursday, which proved to be enough to catapult them to the Dixie Boys victory over the Braves, 8-3.

Offensively for the Red Sox (7-1), Hunter Harrell was 2-for-2 with a homerun and two runs scored, Kevin Taylor was 2-for-2, Cody Tesmer was 2-for-2 with a run scored, Stephen Till was 1-for-2 with two runs scored, Rush Nimmer was 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored, Gray Vinson was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Todd Burkett was 1-for-3 and Jonathan Scott scored a run in the win,

For the Braves (6-2), Daniel Frazier was 2-for-2 with a triple, Eli Blackmon was 2-for-3, Kendrick Thomas was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Jeremy McGinty was 1-for-2 with a run scored and Stewart Moody was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Burkett picked up the win for the Red Sox while striking out eight batters.

The Red Sox and Braves will return to action Thursday as they face off at 7:30 p.m.

A's 21, Cubs 3

Every player on the A's roster scored Thursday en route to a dominating win over the Cubs, 21-3.

Offensively for the A's (3-5), Cody Delaney, Skylar McKeown, Jerome Cook, Taylor Loftin and Trent Norris each scored three runs, Dillon Frazier and Jared Edge each scored two runs and Scott Bentley and Clint Norris each scored one.

For the Cubs (0-8), Nicholas Searight was 1-for-1 with a double, Denorris McPherson was 1-for-2 with a run scored and Joshua Pierce and Rico Knight each scored a run.

The A's and Cubs will return to action Thursday as they face off at 6 p.m.

Mite league

Yankees 19, Mets 4

The Yankees scored six runs in the third inning and nine runs in the fourth inning Thursday to secure the Mite league victory over the Mets, 19-4.

At the plate for the Yankees (1-1), Joseph Price, Jeffrey Tillery and Tyriek McCall each scored three runs, Kaleb Rinehart, Derius Mitchell, Mae Thomas and Austin Nichols each scored two runs and Garrett Till and John N. Kelly each scored one.

For the Mets (0-2), Sullivan Harold scored two runs and Blake Anthony and Cameron Brooks each scored one.

The Yankees will take on the Rangers Thursday at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 2 while the Mets will take on the Pirates at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 1.

White Sox 13, Pirates 9

The White Sox scored 11 runs in the final two innings Thursday to take the come-from-behind win over the Pirates, 13-9.

Offensively for the White Sox (2-0), Taylor Thomas scored three runs, Mark Patterson, Brandon White and Anthony Sellers scored two runs apiece and Jacob Till, Trevor Langford, Brian Hill and Ben Gafford each scored one in the win.

For the Pirates (0-2), Tanner Cartwright and Mason Keen each scored three runs, Clay Newton scored two and Lane Leonard scored one.

The White Sox will take on the Giants Thursday at 7 p.m., on Dunbar 1 and the Pirates will take on the Mets at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 1.

Giants 10, Rangers 8

Kyler Weeks and Tray Johnson each scored in the final inning Thursday to lift the Giants to victory over the Rangers, 10-8.

Offensively for the Giants (2-0), Weeks and Johnson each scored three runs, Rodney Davidson scored two and Chase Mannsman and Warren Matthews each scored one.

For the Rangers (1-1), Luke Taylor and Daniel McKeown each scored two runs while Tripp Richardson, Tyler Thompson, Ryan Miller and Tyler Stone each scored one.

The Giants will take on the White Sox Thursday at 7 p.m., on Dunbar 1 while the Rangers will take on the Yankees at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 2.

Softball

Dixie Ponytails

Dixie Chicks 13, Red Sox 7

Despite the Red Sox scoring seven runs in the final inning, the Dixie Chicks held on for the Dixie Ponytails win Thursday, 13-7.

Brook Bland was the leading hitter for the Dixie Chicks (4-4), going 2-for-3 with a pair of homeruns and three runs scored. Jasmine Morris was 1-for-2 with three runs scored, Lexie Barganier was 1-for-1 with a double, Brittany Gard and Anne Matthews each scored two runs and Jade Watson, Colby Benson and Kendra McNaughton each scored one in the win.

For the Red Sox (2-6), Ashley Ballard was 1-for-1 with two runs scored, Kristen Welch was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Hannah Johnson was 1-for-2 and Maria Betton, Tay Peterson, Chyenne Bell and Kristen Reaves each scored one run.

The Dixie Chicks will take on the Heat Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Red Sox will take on the Angels at 6 p.m.

Heat 12, Angels 0

Kasi Graham and Daphne Moore each scored three runs Thursday as the Heat shut out the Angels, 12-0.

Offensively for the Heat (8-0), Hannah Burnette was 1-for-2 with one run scored, Graham and Moore each scored three runs, Taylor Merry scored two runs and Rebecca Dicks, Dana Moore and Faith Keeney each scored one.

The Heat will take on the Dixie Chicks Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Angels will take on the Red Sox at 6 p.m.

Dixie Angels

Blue Jays 15, Yellow Jackets 8

The Blue Jays scored three runs in the fourth inning and three more in the fifth while holding the Yellow Jackets scoreless Thursday to take the Dixie Angels victory, 15-8.

Offensively for the Blue Jays (4-4), Rhiya Daniel, Mary Glenn Fuller, Devin Duke, Kirsten Jordan and Madison McNaughton each scored two runs while Olivia Fuller, Takira Walker, Chelsey Mink, Renne Mayberry and Rialexus Patterson each scored one.

For the Yellow Jackets (2-6), Hannah Reaves scored two runs and Savanna Madro, Breanna Clark, Ashlyn McKeown, Megan Phelps, Tykeria Banks and Mya Coleman each scored one.

The Blue Jays will take on the Rebels Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Yellow Jackets will take on the Lady Tide at 7:30 p.m.

Rebels 23, Lady Tide 7

Four Rebels scored three runs apiece Thursday to take the 23-7 win over the Lady Tide and remain undefeated on the season.

At the plate for the Rebels (8-0), Alex Merry, Carmen Till, Kindal Harrell and Taylor Waller each scored three runs, Taylor King, Katelyn Brooks, Emily Webster, and Tori Simmons each scored two runs and Sarah Owens, Iesha Powell and Janazia Thompson each scored one.

For the Lady Tide (2-6), Mallory Conway scored two runs while Callie Waite, Lekonna Powell, Charli Hood, Briana Worthington and Alex Landry each scored one.

The Rebels will take on the Blue Jays Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Lady Tide will take on the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m.

Cardinals 20, Braves 6

All nine Cardinals' players scored Saturday in the Dixie Youth victory over the Braves, 20-6.

Offensively for the Cardinals, Justin Oikle scored four runs, Matt Lewis, Zack Compton and Kyle Compton each scored three runs, Rakeem Hugler and Tyler Smith each scored two runs and Brandon Oikle, Rodney Cheatham and Mike Dunn each scored one.

For the Braves, Hunter Smith, Jay Williams, Zack Gaston, Christopher Cobb, Desmond Williams and Keondra Peterson each scored one.

The Cardinals will take on the Pirates Thursday at 7 p.m., and the Braves will take on the Pirates Thursday at 6 p.m.

Pirates 12, Cardinals 9

Four players scored two runs apiece for the Pirates Saturday as they took the win over the Cardinals, 12-9.

Tarien Crittenden, Keonte Gilmore, Decarlos Mitchell and Jacquez Payton each scored two runs for the Pirates while Devin Bonner, Matt Sheffield, Orlando Boggan and Richard Boggan each scored one run.

For the Cardinals, Brandon Oikle, Justin Oikle and Zack Compton each scored two runs while Matt Lewis, Rakeem Hugler and Rodney Cheatham each scored one.

The Pirates will take on the Braves Thursday at 6 p.m., and then take on the Cardinals at 7 p.m.
