Greenville High School head football coach Bryant Vincent will hold his third annual Camp QB/WR Friday and Saturday and the event will be held at Birmingham-Southern College this year.

With Birmingham-Southern beginning a football program this year, Vincent said the move to BSC made sense in every way.

Former University of Alabama wide receiver and current BSC head coach Joey Jones will serve as the assistant camp director.

&#8220I think it takes it to another level,” Vincent said of hosting the camp at BSC. &#8220It's taking it to another step that I envisioned taking it to.”

Along with Vincent, Joey Hamilton of Greenville, John Glass of Spain Park, Marty Rozelle of Mountain Brook, David Jones of Homewood, David Faulkner of Foley, Jamie Dubose of Prattville, Josh Niblett of Oxford, Shane Jones of Foley, Brooks Barron of Oak Mountain, Heath Brunner of Walker and Randall Taylor of Guntersville will assist in teaching at the camp.

&#8220To me it is what makes the camp so special and such a premier camp” Vincent said of having championship coaches work the camp. &#8220You've got the top coordinators and head coaches in the state.”

&#8220All of these guys could coach college football,” he added.

And speaking of college football, Auburn University's Brandon Cox and Neil Caudle, University of Alabama's John Parker Wilson, Furman's Adam Mims, Stillman's Jason Mims, Clemson's Tyler Grisham and Jones' son Joe will also assist during the camp.

Vincent coached Caudle, Mims, Grisham and Mims in high school while Rozelle coached Cox during his playing days at Hewitt-Trussville.

&#8220I think it just verifies the quality of the camp,” Vincent said of having names like Cox, Wilson and Caudle.

Registration for the camp will be held Friday at BSC from 8:30 a.m. - 9 a.m., and walk-ups will be accepted.

Cost of registration is $150.

Campers will run drills and phases during the morning sessions both Friday and Saturday and then participate in classroom &#8220chalk talk” after lunch, in which the players will learn to break down film and read routes.

The camp will end at 6 p.m., Friday and 3 p.m., Saturday.

&#8220I just think it's important for our kids to be around the best competition and best coaches that they can be around,” Vincent said.
