Ty Newton leads Braves over A#039;s

After falling for the first time all season, the Braves got back on track Monday as Ty Newton was 3-for-4 with two runs scored to help pace his team to victory over the A's in Dixie Majors action, 10-3.

Offensively for the Braves (8-1), Andrew Phelps was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored, Thomas Phelps was 2-for-2, Hunter Smith 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Brady Newton was 1-for-2 with two runs scored, Thomas Nolan was 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored and Kendall Gibson was 1-for-2 with a run scored.

Caleb Blackburn was 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored to lead the A's (3-6), while Brandon Croley was 1-for-2 with a run scored and Jesse Armstrong scored a run.

Andrew Phelps had six strikeouts for the Braves in the win.

The Braves will take on the Rangers Thursday at 8 p.m., and the A's will take on the Nationals at 6 p.m.

Rangers 25, Nationals 4

Although the Nationals scored four runs on walks, Kenny Peterson threw a no-hitter Monday to lead the Rangers to victory over the Nationals, 25-4.

At the plate for the Rangers (6-2), Terrance Whittle was 3-for-3 with a double and four runs scored, Andre Paige was 3-for-4 with a homerun and three runs scored, Kyle Nelson was 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored, Adones Peterson was 2-for-2 with four runs scored, Kevin Brogden was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Rico Johnson was 2-for-4 with a double and three runs and Kenny Peterson was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

For the Nationals (0-8), D.J. Carter, Jeffrey Searight, Derrel Robinson and Kwaname Davidson each scored a run.

The Rangers will take on the Braves Thursday at 8 p.m., and the Nationals will take on the A's at 6 p.m.

Dixie Minors

Braves 10, Yankees 1

Dalton Weeks had the Braves' only hit and scored three runs Monday to help pace his team to the Dixie Minors victory over the Yankees, 10-1.

Offensively for the Braves (11-3), Draklin Scoggins and Rashad Crenshaw each scored two runs while Payton Frazier, Will Petty and Hunter Gentry each scored one.

For the Yankees (4-9), C.J. Savage was 1-for-1 with a run scored, Cole Davis was 1-for-1 and Donte Lee was 1-for-2.

The Braves will take on the Indians Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Yankees will take on the Orioles at 6 p.m.

Red Sox 14, Indians 2

Ryan Burkett was 2-for-4 with three runs scored Monday as the Red Sox downed the Indians, 14-2.

At the plate for the Sox (12-2), Daniel Hall Autrey was 1-for-2 with three runs scored, Avery Shipp and Nathan Looney were each 1-for-1 with a run scored, Nick Hartley was 1-for-3 with a run scored, Drake Cabe scored two runs and Colt Reaves, Wyatt Young and Justice Taylor each scored a run.

For the Indians (2-12), Brandon Blackmon and Will Smith each scored a run.

The Red Sox will take on the Yankees Friday at 7:30 p.m., and the Indians will take on the Braves Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Mite league

Yankees 12, Pirates 11

Nine players each scored a run Monday as the Yankees slipped by the Pirates for the Mite league win, 12-11.

Offensively for the Yankees (5-2), Jeffrey Tillery scored three runs, Joseph Price scored two and Austin Nichols, DeArius Mitchell, Tyreik McCall, Tristan Boutwell, Kaleb Rinehart, Garrett Till and Mac Thomas each scored a run.

For the Pirates (1-6), Tanner Cartwright and Clay Newton each scored three runs, Kobe Bowen scored two runs and Mason Keen, Lane Leonard and Zachary Burt each scored one.

The Yankees will take on the Giants Thursday at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 2 and the Pirates will take on the Rangers at 7 p.m., on Dunbar 1.

Giants 17, Mets 7

Monkevious Bradley scored four runs Monday as the Giants defeated the Mets via the mercy rule, 17-7.

At the plate for the Giants (7-0), Bradley scored four runs, Nathan Scoggins scored three runs, Rodney Davidson, Chase Mansmann, Justin Rhodes and Malik Bunch each scored two runs and Tray Johnson and Ravin Moody each scored one.

For the Mets (0-6), Sullivan Harold and Sidaryus Harris each scored two runs and Sam Bowen, Conner Price and Cameron Brooks each scored one.

The Giants will take on the Yankees Thursday at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 2 and the Mets will take on the White Sox at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 1.

White Sox 13, Rangers 10

Ten players scored for the White Sox Monday as they took the win over the Rangers, 13-10.

Offensively for the White Sox (4-2), Benjamin Gafford, Anthony Sellers and Skilar Moorer each scored two runs while Ryan Davis, Taylor Thomas, Mark Patterson, Brandon White, Trevor Langford, Jacob Till and Jarrod Johnson each scored a run.

For the Rangers (2-3), Daniel McKeown scored three runs, Tripp Richardson and Luke Taylor each scored two runs and Cole English, Dedric Owens and Blake Burrage each scored one.

The White Sox will take on the Mets Thursday at 6 p.m., on Dunbar 1 and the Rangers will take on the Pirates at 7 p.m., on Dunbar 1.

Giants 13, Pirates 4

Nathan Scoggins scored three runs Saturday as the Giants took down the Pirates, 13-4.

Offensively for the Giants, Scoggins scored three runs, Malik Bunch, Chase Mansmann and Kyler Weeks each scored two runs and Tray Johnson, Rodney Davison, Ravin Moody and Monkevious Bradley each scored one.

For the Pirates, Leo Parker scored two runs and Mason Keen and Clay Newton each scored one.

White Sox 13, Yankees 12

Anthony Sellers and Brandon White each scored three runs Saturday as the White Sox slipped by the Yankees for the win, 13-12.

Sellers and White each scored three runs for the Sox, Benjamin Gafford scored two runs and Ryan Davis, Trevor Langford, Taylor Thomas, Brian Hill and Jarrod Johnson each scored one.

For the Yankees, Austin Nichols scored three runs, Joseph Price, Derius Mitchell and Tyreik McCall each scored two runs and Jeffrey Tillery, Kaleb Rinehart and Dallas Stone each scored one.
