Kevin Sport recently attended the Alabama Youth Leadership Program's 2007 Student Leadership Conference.

Sport joined more than 150 other young leaders representing many high schools from throughout Alabama.

The conference was held June 1 – 3 on the campus of Auburn University Montgomery.

Sport, representing Highland Home High School and who is a sophomore, was chosen to participate in the conference based on leadership potential.

AYLP Leadership Conference brings together a select group of high school sophomores to interact with groups of distinguished leaders in business, government, education and the professions to discuss present and future issues.

A highlight of the conference included a tour and reception hosted by Alabama's First Lady, Patsy Riley.

The conference goal is to provide youths a stimulating forum for learning about the American system while broadening their understanding of their leadership potential.

Sport is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Davis of Highland Home and Mr. Danny Sport of Dozier, Alabama.
