The Greenville YMCA swim team, the Tigersharks, took to the water Saturday in Prattville for the first meet of the season.

The Prattville Flying Fish sponsor the yearly Central Alabama sprint meet, which includes 70 events. Teams from Greenville, Montgomery, Auburn, Tallassee, Sylacauga, and Talladega all competed against each other.

Head coach Rebecca Mosley said she is just glad to get the season underway.

&#8220Swimming is an excellent sport for kids during the summer,” Mosley said. &#8220Parents are always telling me how their kids eat better and sleep better during the swim season.”

&#8220We are so proud of out team and our kids,” she added.
