While business growth continues in the Interstate area, some of the Camellia City's downtown businesses are also seeing positive changes as they expand hours, goods and services for their customers.

The Barn is a name new to Greenville, but the apparel store is a familiar and popular spot for shoppers in Ozark and Dothan, says owner Angela Killough.

The store, which is now open seven days a week, is located next to K&G Jewelry on E. Commerce St.

A Camellia City business long frequented by local customers, The Greenville Shoe Shop, will now be located inside The Barn, said Killough.

&#8220We will still carry the great shoes always found at The Greenville Shoe Shop, but we are also expanding to include all types of work boots, top-of-the-line work clothing, Western boots, Nike shoes, Western wear, Western hats and cowboy hats,” the store owner explained.

&#8220We will also feature a fashion line starting at 2T and going into plus sizes. Really, we will offer something for everyone.”

Among the brands shoppers can expect to find at The Barn are Carhart, Levi and Wrangler.

&#8220People can come here and shop and expect to find a clean, straight, well-organized store with good customer service. And if we don't have the size or style you need, we can often get it from one of the other stores,” Killough said.

The business owner said she is also leasing another building in the city to serve as a storage facility for The Barn.

&#8220We are excited about the response we have already gotten, and look forward to continuing to build the business,” Killough said.

The Barn is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Another downtown business, Bella Salon and Spa, is expanding its hours next week for a Spa Night.

Thursday, July 19, the business will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with special services offered to clients, including spa manicures, private spa pedicures, and waxing. Massage therapy, including Swedish massage, deep tissue and hot stone massages, sea salt scrubs and clay facials, will also be offered.

Glenda Black-Prevo, licensed massage therapist, LaShunda Warren, licensed managing manicurist and Tina Guy-Hill, licensed managed cosmetologist, will be on hand to provide the services.

Clients are asked to call ahead to 371-5437 to reserve an appointment with one of the salon professionals.
